Tom Whitfield 36' (LOA) Gaff rigged cruising cutter built at Scotch College, Melbourne, under senior shipwright supervision. The build process was fully recorded with photos from harvesting the Huon Pine right through to her launching in 1998. She is a modern interpretation of the Bristol Channel Pilot cutters, a robust cruising yacht designed for offshore and coastal passage making. Planked in Huon Pine with copper nails roved on hardwood frames and featuring a traditional gaff rig and 8' bowsprit, she employs some modern sailing aids such as a furling headsail and two-speed winches making her easy to sail. Her 6ft draft long keel means she tracks true and her 75hp Yanmar diesel engine (only 500 hours run) provides ample power. The electric anchor windlass makes anchoring a breeze. Below decks you will find a roomy and traditional eight berth layout with 6ft 4" headroom throughout. There is a well appointed galley with sink, gas stove & oven plus a fridge. The fully enclosed marine toilet incorporates a hot and cold shower and there is a second shower in the cockpit. Traditional features include a Huon Pine butterfly skylight and ventilation hatch over the main saloon and a unique solid Huon Pine table. Electronics include a log and speedo, depth sounder and a VHF radio. Now much reduced and MUST BE SOLD, all offers considered. For further information, additional photos or to arrange your inspection at St Kilda VIC, please call Chris Furey on 0410 551 977

Save over $10,000 on current retail pricing, so get in quick because this is the only Merry Fisher 695 available (new or used) in Australia before Christmas!!! Designed for coastal cruising, waterskiing and recreational fishing for up to eight people, this Merry Fisher 695 from Jeanneau, also has fantastic boarding facilitated by a cockpit gate that overlooks the large teak bathing platforms. The cockpit seat even slides forward so it can be used even when the engine is lifted. Inside the Merry Fisher 695 offers an inward-facing 4-seat saloon with a fore seat convertible into a navigation seat facing the sea. Yet another important innovation to gain in comfort: the fore cabin is equipped with a closed compartment with a marine toilet and holding tank. The hull has a marked and progressive V shape. It is stable and voluminous with a top speed of 32 knots even when fitted with a 150hp engine. With the new Merry Fisher 695, Jeanneau once again demonstrates its expertise in the design of family and economical boats perfectly suited to coastal cruising.
