The US built Catalina 34 Mk 1 has established an enviable reputation as a fast, stiff, and sturdily built cruising yacht. There have been over 1400 boats built to the Catalina 34 Mk 1 design and many have made long offshore passages. Catalina 34s have an impressively roomy cockpit and spacious decks, great for entertaining. Down below you will find a very spacious interior with 6ft 4" headroom and up to 7 berths with a forward double V Berth and an enormous private queen sized berth under the cockpit. The table in the saloon can also lower to form a third double berth if required. There is a practical galley with gas stove and oven plus a microwave oven and a fridge and there's lots of storage space. The fully enclosed toilet compartment has a hot& cold shower and wash basin and there's another shower at the transom. She even has reverse cycle air conditioning to ensure cabin comfort in any weather. This 1986 built Catalina 34 has wheel steering, an autopilot, VHF radio, GPS and a good wardrobe of sails including a furling genoa and a cruising spinnaker with sock. Safety gear includes a Beaufort 6 person life raft (not in service) and there's also a 10ft inflatable dinghy with 6hp Suzuki outboard. Roomy, easy to sail and equipped with all the comforts, this is a well priced family cruising yacht you should consider. Tom Whitfield 36' (LOA) Gaff rigged cruising cutter built at Scotch College, Melbourne, under senior shipwright supervision. The build process was fully recorded with photos from harvesting the Huon Pine right through to her launching in 1998. She is a modern interpretation of the Bristol Channel Pilot cutters, a robust cruising yacht designed for offshore and coastal passage making. Planked in Huon Pine with copper nails roved on hardwood frames and featuring a traditional gaff rig and 8' bowsprit, she employs some modern sailing aids such as a furling headsail and two-speed winches making her easy to sail. Her 6ft draft long keel means she tracks true and her 75hp Yanmar diesel engine (only 500 hours run) provides ample power. The electric anchor windlass makes anchoring a breeze. Below decks you will find a roomy and traditional eight berth layout with 6ft 4" headroom throughout. There is a well appointed galley with sink, gas stove & oven plus a fridge. The fully enclosed marine toilet incorporates a hot and cold shower and there is a second shower in the cockpit. Traditional features include a Huon Pine butterfly skylight and ventilation hatch over the main saloon and a unique solid Huon Pine table. Electronics include a log and speedo, depth sounder and a VHF radio. Now much reduced and MUST BE SOLD, all offers considered. Good example of the popular Swarbrick designed S111 cruiser/racer. Solid construction with a good turn of speed. Other S111s have been used as bareboats, Navy training boats and of course club and offshore race boats. "Galatea"was built in 1981 and has been always very well maintained by fussy owners. She has raced to Hobart and in many other offshore events and has also cruised extensively. With many inclusions and ready to cruise or race, she has wheel steering and a Furlex headsail furler was fitted recently for easy shorthanded sailing. Boasting a very spacious cockpit, these are great boats for social sailing, ideal for twilights. Now much reduced for immediate sale. Keen vendor seeks offers. For further information, inventory details and additional photos or to arrange your inspection on the Gippsland Lakes, please contact Stuart Loft on 0488 055 462 or complete the on-line enquiry form.
